Pros and Cons of Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery - is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It has its own advantages and disadvantages,so let's consider them.

Starting with the advantages , i can say that plastic surgery can help people to correct their shortcomings of face or body , or to eliminate scars after car accidents , fires , etc.
The second point is that plastic surgery helps people to look younger , for example facelift. There are a lot of women who do it.Technologies are developing and new methods of plastic surgery are appearing , so it becomes more painless. Beauty and youth are the most significant advantages of plastic surgery , because people always want to look beautiful and feel themselves more confident.

Nevertheless there are some disadvantages of plastic surgery. First of all is stress.  Many people  fall into severe depression after the operation.  Aging affects all human organs. Doing plastic surgery, a person rejuvenates himself externally , but internally can not stop the aging process. In addition, the scars can also strike a blow to the psyche.

The second disadvantage is the complications after plastic surgery.  Before you decide to do plastic surgery, you need to think carefully, because you are going to take a big risk. As example , after the correction of wrinkles, hematomas may appear, and there is a possibility of loss of skin sensitivity. Such a plastic procedure as liposuction-often leads to a fat embolism. Silicone can cause breast cancer. Nose surgery can lead to deformation and swelling of the tip of the nose.

In conclusion i want to say that i respect all of the opinions about plastic surgery. It has advantages and disadvantages, and people make decision by themselves, it's their choice to do an operation or not. Anyway, plastic surgery should be applied to those people who had an injury after a car accidents,or scars. The others need to learn to appreciate their nature beauty and don't try to look like someone else.

  1. Julia,

I'm sorry but parts of your essay are plagiarised. It starts with the definition, which you have taken from Wikipedia. It took me just a couple of seconds to find it out. Certainly, you know that you need to add a reference in order not to plagiarise, don't you?

Actually, as I was reading your essay further I discovered that other parts of it are copied from the resources you have used to write your essay:

So, unfortunately, I cannot give you a passing grade for your essay. Get in touch with me when/if you see my comment before the next class for us to clarify the situation.

    Things to consider:

The thesis statement is too general; you need to list the points that will be discussed in your
    essay

Plastic surgery - is a surgical specialty: you do not need this punctuation mark between the subject and the verb. You've used a hypen, which when necessary is used in 2-word combinations, not in complex sentences. If necessary, the dash is used then. There is a very good explanation of how it is used in Grammarly, it's a blog about all things connected with different aspects of grammar and writing. Are you familiar with it? If no, here is a link to the article about dash: https://www.grammarly.com/blog/dash/

First of all is stress > the first of them is stress: your version is not quite right. Your version uses the Russian sentence pattern: it's one of the examples of language interference, i.e., the influence of your mother tongue on how you formulate your ideas in another language

Doing plastic surgery > performing: "do" is not used in this case
Sp: "can not" is spelt as 1 word > cannot
"As example": it's incorrect > to give you just one example

FOR AND AGAINST ESSAY Eating Meat is Good and Necessary for People Eating is the big part of our life. Meat is a product that plays an important role for human organism.Nowdays there are a lot of people who don't eat meat, and it is their choice. Moreover, there are a lot of arguments about eating meat is good or not.  First of all, meat contains a huge amount of protein, which is actively involved in the strengthening and development of our body. For example, it is involved in the creation of hemoglobin which supplies our blood with oxygen. Moreover protein is one of the basic nutrients necessary for human. The second point is that meat gives us strength, and especially for men it is very important to be strong. If we don't eat meat we become weak and lethargic. Another reason is that meat contains a lot of elements that are responsible for the quality of our skin, hair, nails, and without it, for example, our hair will fall out and nails will deterioate. Blogpost One:Yayoi Kusama review-about as artistic as a lava lamp   Dear All, Recently I've read an article in the Guardian. I've chosen it because i saw the picture(which you can see below) on the first page, and i wanted to know what it is and it seemed to me interesting. This article was about Yaoi Kusama's instalation Infinity Mirrored Room in the Victoria Miro Gallery in London. The author of this article Jonathan Jones wrote about his impressions after he visited this place. He couldn't take this instalation too seriously, and he thinks that it doesn't reach  inside people's heads and they don't feel anything when they see it. He compares Infinity Mirrored Room with lava lamps. Jonathan doesn't consider that it is art, it is more like fashion show for him. Actually, i haven't heard about Yaomi Kusama before and i haven't seen her works, but when i saw a photo of this instalation i was impressed and i liked it.  Also in the...
